Equipment

  • High-speed blender
  • measuring cups
  • measuring spoons
  • spatula
  • Chilled serving glasses

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Frozen mango chunks
  • 1 cup Cold coconut water or orange juice
  • 2 tbsp Fresh lime juice
  • 1 to 2 tbsp Honey, agave, or simple syrup
  • 1 pinch Fine salt
  • 1/2 cup Ice (optional)
  • 1/3 cup Plain yogurt or coconut milk (optional)

Instructions

  • Add the coconut water or orange juice to the blender first.
  • Add lime juice, sweetener, and salt.
  • Add frozen mango chunks and optional ice.
  • Blend on low, then increase speed until the Mango frozen drink turns thick and smooth.
  • Taste and adjust. Add more lime if it tastes too sweet, more sweetener if it tastes too tart, or a splash of liquid if it's too thick.
  • Pour into chilled glasses and serve right away.

Notes

For the thickest Mango frozen drink, use frozen mango straight from the freezer and don't add too much liquid at the beginning. Coconut water keeps it light, orange juice makes it sweeter, and yogurt turns it into a creamy mango lassi-style drink.
This Mango frozen drink tastes best fresh. Freeze leftovers in an ice cube tray and re-blend later with a splash of coconut water.
