Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 0.5 lemon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp raw apple cider vinegar (with the mother)
  • 1 cup hot water (not boiling)
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper or cinnamon (optional)

Method
 

  1. Boil water and let it cool slightly so it is hot but not boiling.
  2. Add the grated fresh ginger to a mug.
  3. Pour the hot water over the ginger and let it steep for 5–7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the lemon juice and apple cider vinegar.
  5. Add a pinch of cayenne or cinnamon if using.
  6. Sip slowly, preferably on an empty stomach.
