Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds (optional)
  • 1–2 tsp maple syrup or honey
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Add oats and cocoa powder to a jar or bowl.
  2. Stir in chia seeds if using.
  3. Pour in milk.
  4. Add sweetener, salt, and vanilla.
  5. Mix thoroughly until the cocoa fully dissolves.
  6. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours, ideally overnight.
  7. Stir again before serving and adjust texture with a splash of milk if needed.

Notes

For extra protein, replace part of the milk with Greek yogurt or add a scoop of protein powder. For a thicker texture, include chia seeds. If too thick in the morning, stir in 1 tablespoon of milk at a time. Store refrigerated up to 3 days. Adjust sweetness gradually and add a pinch of salt to enhance cocoa flavor.
