Ingredients
  

  • Apple peels from 4–6 apples
  • Cinnamon sticks
  • Lemon slices
  • Splash of apple cider vinegar
  • Water (enough to cover peels)

Method
 

  1. Add the apple peels to a crock pot or saucepan and cover with water.
  2. Add cinnamon sticks, lemon slices, and a splash of apple cider vinegar.
  3. Simmer on low for 2–3 hours in a crock pot, or 30–45 minutes on the stovetop.
  4. Strain the liquid and discard or compost the peels.
  5. Serve warm or chilled. Add more lemon or cinnamon if desired.
